Title: An Interesting Turn of Events
It had started off as a rather boring and uneventful journey. The sun was blazing above and the humidity was high, leaving a sticky moist sweat glistening on their skin and making them a little more irritable and a little less on alert. The trail had been a long one, winding around several mountains, over rickety looking bridges and through tight spots that left the four pressing their backs to the cliffs and praying that their footing held. Lucky for them when they passed through a small herding village the villagers had pointed them to a local trail that they claimed took off nearly half a day then the original more commonly traveled one. It was off the map, but they trusted the local’s. Who else would know the terrain better than those that lived here year long? Certainly not any outdated maps.

He felt a shudder run through his body and he tried to fight off the sudden suffocating feeling. It had been so long since he had last seen this city… Even though he had lived here for nearly his entire childhood, it was just like walking into any other city. The familiarity of it was never anything he had experienced. From the castles windows he could gaze at awe at the expanse of houses as far as he could see. But he had rarely stepped foot in the actual city. Once he had visited the port along side his former Professor with a small secretive escort—but that was all.

Buckles and straps fixated across his tight suit, the hilt of a dagger protruded sharply from the sheath at his hip, hanging lazily from his silver belt. In each boot glittering silver hilted beautifully crafted daggers shone like twinkling stars like those in the velvety sky above. His pale white skin contrasted sharply against the night sky, as did his predominate crimson eyes that glistened like neatly polished jewels. The man swept his silver locks from his softly scowling face, revealing himself to be a young man in his early twenties. His finger tips, pardoned by the excessive blackness of his wardrobe, twisted though his locks absently…”
